Ingredients Required

  • 4 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon cup butter
  • 5 cups milk
  • Salt

(Selection of Spices)

  • 5 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
  • 5 teaspoon ground black pepper

 Procedure of Preparation 

  • Heat the butter in a heavy frying pan.
  • Once the butter melts add the flour and mix to a smooth consistency.
  • Heat for 2 minutes until the homogeneous mix begins to form bubbles. Make sure that the flour should not turn brown due to overheating.
  • In a separate pot heat the milk. Put the milk away from heat just when it begins to boil.
  • Add the milk to the flour and butter mix.
  • Add the fine ground spices, salt and mix well. Nutmeg and pepper form a unique balance of flavors.
  • Heat the mix in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
  • Serve with a preparation of choice.
