Beetroot Breakfast Recipe

Ingredients Required

  • 200 grams beetroot
  • 100 gram fresh cream
  • 100 gram cottage cheese
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon grounded nutmeg
  • Salt to taste
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Slice of bread

 Procedure of Preparation

  • Boil the beetroot until it is uniformly soft and you can put a fork through it.
  • Once the beetroot is boiled and cooled, the skin comes off easily.
  • Coarsely grate the beetroot and cottage cheese and mix together.
  • Add to the mix finely grated garlic, ground pepper and nutmeg.
  • Add salt.
  • Whip in an healthy amount of fresh cream.
  • Serve the salad as dressing on crisp lettuce leaves to a slice of mildly toasted bread.
