Lemon Grass and Ginger Iced Green Tea
1 whole stalk of fresh lemongrass
1 knob of ginger, could be fresh or dried
2 teaspoon Green tea
3 to 4 tablespoon sugar
2 cups of water
Procedure for Preparation
Rinse the lemongrass in a properly . Subsequently chop the stalk and mash it into a coarse pulp.
Rinse, chop and mash the ginger as well.
Add the lemongrass and ginger to 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Let the water boil on a low flame for 2 minutes.
Add the green tea leaves to water and steep the tea for about 3-4 minutes.
Filter the tea and let it cool down for about 20 minutes.
Further keep the tea in the refrigerator for about 2hours.
Serve chilled in glasses filled with ice.
